Struggle in the Land of Smiles

Hotel Art Fair Bangkok

2017/06/23 - 2017/06/25

Bangkok, Thailand

What does it mean to live in the “Land of Smiles”? Is it a forced paradise? This exhibition, curated by Chalee Kader and Tom Potisit for the Hotel Art Fair in Bangkok, explored the inherent tensions found in the contestation of happiness and its implication. My response to the theme explored that it means to struggle, is it the profound awareness that reality is something other than our intentions?

As with most of my work there are little answers. I was left with the contemplation of how to measure my reality and the perception of such reality.
